Okies here's the deal..In some 3rd world countries girls are obsessed with being SO FAIR and are not happy if god made them darker.On the other hand,many americans,canadians etc.. love to get themsleves tanned because that is their preference.. Isn't it funny?
I have seen some women with natural complexion and then they changed it..and coincidently I have always thought they seemed better with their natural god gifted colour. I mean tanning is cool too and trying to make yourself fair at the same time.. but if God has given you a certain complexion,isn't it cool that we maintain that? I am saying nothing against tanning and making the skin fairer,its all really cool :D
I personally believe that in 3rd world coutries its society pressure that 'girls who are white are beautiful' and I just think..'OK'..
I mean..however God has made you is the best form you can maintain.. I feel people who have self confidence are lovely..

I feel that people who feel insecure must try to make themselves beautiful to others. I believe that you need to accept that you are who you are and others should as well. We all need to ignore Hollywood and see the beauty in each and every one of us.

I also hold the opinion that your natural color is the most beautiful. For me, personally, I tan easily so if I spend half an hour in the backyard just having a cup of tea with my mom, and I get a little sun kissed, then that's my natural color. On the other hand, if I stay inside the house all winter and I don't see the sun, and my tan fades and my fair complexion comes out more fair than usual, then that's natural as well.
What is unnatural is going out of your way or spending money to have a totally different complexion than what is natural.
What's really funny is that whenever I go on vacation, my friends compliment me on my summer tan and how nice it looks...but my middle eastern parents don't like it the least bit and just hope it would go away. Either way, isn't it up to me?
Just be thankful. That's all.

I agree with you. I think that they should be happy with they're original color. I think it's the media misleading people though, because it is becoming a fad and as more people do it, the more other people try to do it. What people fail to realize is that the more natural you are, the more beautiful you'll be!
