hi friend,

The problem is that your monitor refresh rate not match with your display card.

Goto in the safe mode & fellow this:

go to control panel->display->settings->advance settings->monitor tab. here you shows list of refresh rate.

you must check which refresh rate support your monitor do not select dont supported refresh rate if you select it then you face the same problem that previously you face.

if you still not slove your problem then follow this:

Goto in the safe mode & first delete all your installed driver for your display card & monitor then restart your computer & reinstall your display driver & monitor.

for this case my personal opinion is that your computer monitor & display card not working more than 800x600 16 bit color resolution so dont go with higher resolution.

if you still having problem then mail me at patelpareshin@yahoo.co.in for further.

Good luck!!!

You most likely set your refresh rate too high and the monitor cannot support it. I know there is a way to bypass display settings but I just don't know how to do it anymore using a Function Key. Here is another method you can try. Try going in your system in Safe Mode (turn on system and keep pressing F8 until you get to a black and grey screen with choices to boot up. Go to Safe Mode) Once in safe mode, go to Control Panel, then choose display. If you do not see display as an option, go look at the left hand side of the control panel window and choose classic view. Once you are in the Display Properties, go to settings TAB. Then click on advance. Now go to monitor TAB. In there, choose the refresh rate of 60 or default or something like that. Hit apply and then restart. Hope this works.

It could possibly be the video card. Make sure you have downloaded and correctly installed the latest video drivers. If you are having this problem on this computer specifically and the monitors work on other computers, your video card is a prime suspect. Also check the VGA cable connecting the video card to the monitor...their maybe a bent pin or lose connection but i doubt it since it works in safe mode. Try also setting your video settings to a lower resolution.

the settings in your monitor type might be wrong. What is telling you is that your monitor is not configured properly. What you need to do is go to philips find the 105s7 and inquire about the settings or set up. Try going into your video card settings and see if you can autoset to detect your monitor. You will find your video settings in your control pannel.

Sounds like you have on board video. I hope we are not talking about a compaq. If you are technical at all remove the cover from the pc and if its a name brand pc the jumper configuration will be labeled with a sticker on the inside of the cover. find the cmos jumper and configure it for clear cmos. when you do this remove the battery and short the outer shell metal to the center metal. this will ensure that the cmos is reset. reboot and all should be well. you can reach me @ jensguy061205@ yahoo.com for further info.

Sounds like either the video card is screwed or the monitor itself :(
