You would need a capture card. Pinnacle makes nice ones you can pick up. They would usually have a USB version of this. You would also need to have plenty of hard drive space. I am not 100% sure on what type of format it gets formatted when you capture the VCR recordings, but I think it does it in a raw format that requires alot of disk space. The better the quality of the video, the more disk space will be required. After you have captured it to your hard drive, you can start creating DVDs from them. Good luck and have fun with your capturing.

Get K-World's DVD Maker for $40 USD. This is a USB capture device, hopefully this will work using the microphone input to the laptop! You need to use an audio input plug with these devices as well as an USB plug. Check with K-World first.

You'll want to be looking at something like the Pinnacle Studio USB 500. It comes with a USB capture card and the award-winning Pinnacle Studio 10.5 software. It comes highly recommended from many people I know.

you would want a Video Editor application with a seize characteristic on it. i trust WMM has that capacity yet have under no circumstances used that application for that. i exploit SYNET HT for all of my clips transferred from my video digital camera.
