well, this is indeed a difficult question...

1. Cate Blancett played Katherine Hepburn very well in Aviator.

2. Shooter Jennings, Waylon's son, Played quite well as his father in Walk the Line.

3. I think George Clooney would be a great Dean Martin.

4. Joss Stone would play a great Janis Joplin

5. John Candy is a toughie, but I think John Goodman would do him proper service.

6. Phil Hartman is so hard to even fathom a replacement for him. Maybe, and this is a just maybe, but i think Jimmy Fallon could handle it if he worked on the attitude and style of Phil Hartman.

7. Elvis - wow this is a difficult list... Tyler Hilton, being an artist and an Elvis Worshipper did well in Walk the Line depicting the "youngest of the young" Elvis. He could probably hang with the later changes in his life well.

8. Gilda Radner - ok this has to be the hardest one to figure out - if you will recall Cameron Diaz in "being john malcovich", she transformed herself into something that she was not and did it well. But I think she has the talent to handle a role that astute.

9. John Belishi - I have to give that one to Jeremy Piven. He is a very funny man and may be able to hang with the lost but not forgotten Belushi..

10. As for John Wayne, I really think that no one could ever impress his essence upon us in the way that he did. I just do not think that there is a man alive that could accomplish what he did for us all as an actor.

I think Jim Belushi should play John Belushi, and I think Brendon Fraser (?) could play Elvis. Tracy Ullman could play any of the female parts. My son could play John Wayne. Or Rich Little.
