when do you go to school in the new school year?

Our school starts the 23rd of Aug, but as a teacher, I have to go back on the 17th.

Where I teach, teachers return on Aug. 2, students on Aug. 7 (we are a modified year-round) My son goes back on Aug. 22. The earliest ever.
