I'm 19 and 5'8 and a lot of my friends that are like 16ish tell me I'm short. I'v had a complex about my hieght ever sense I was around 16 and almost every day I messure my self to see if I got any taller and I do that because it's a compulsive thing I guess.

That is normal. C'mon at least you're not 5'5. As long as you're taller than the girl, it's fine for most people. I am considered tall because I model and I have to be around 5'9. Average height is obviously lower than a model's height.

Honestly, yes you are short. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Think of it as simply how you are and play to your strengths. Some girls don't like tall guys. And about the measuring thing? Don't feel bad, I do that every day too, and I'm 16.

in 1950 5 foot 8 was average for a man now the average has gone up but you must be ok i am the same height.

To shor.t........Some times it hardly to see when they are waking,on grass, Man take it out of your mind and stat enjoy they life.I am 5'.6" and enjoying my life very well and why don't you think there are good benfits also to be short.that you will see later,and you are not so short,it's average hight.For get it ,get rid of this darty compulexe and have a lot of fun in life,good luck.

Well im 15 and im 5'8 but i met a lot of boys your age about you height but you short for your age tho but my mama is short but i take my traits from my daddy think of it as who in your family traits...

I, myself, dont care about height. so i dont think that 5'8 is short for any one. There are girls who like taller guys. but i dont see the problem with that height. so no i dont think its short for a guy!

Its all relative. Take a trip to Japan or Vietnam, you will be the tallest guy on the streets.
