as an embryo develops, things come one after another. ya know? the whole thing doesn't just spring up from nothing; p[arts slowly form. it jsut so happens that the nipples come before the penis or vagina. so we are nippled before we are boy or girl. on a side note, i know a guy with 3 nipples.

While only females have mammary glands, we all start out in a similar way in the embryo. The embryo follows a female template until about six weeks, when the male sex chromosome kicks in. Men, however, have already developed nipples, but nature leaves it to that and nothing else forms to cause a function for them.

They used to have a function, they just don't now and we have not evolved them away. There are some men that still lactate, so I am sure at one time in ancient history they worked the same way women's do. It is like an appendix or tonsils. We don't need them now, but we did at one time and they are still there.
In some cultures the men will let their babies suckle from their nipples, not for nutrience, but as a bonding experience and to keep the child happy until the mother returns from her chores.

C'mon. They have a function on you guys. It's a sensitive area and you haven't explored it enough. Have some fun and ask for some stimulation as foreplay. Relax and let go. Enjoy!
