Just wondering because I think I might have, while lifting weights. The weights landed on top on me.

I..personally have a bad knee..SO I know your pain...A person Much larger than me fell directly onto my knee.. My doc says wear a brace b/c sometimes it just hyper-extends...and pop out whenever i am walking. It hurts like hell very time. See a DOCTOR!

First off, I'd recomend not doing it! For one it hurts and for two it can cause serious problems later if it's done too much (sometimes even once is enough to cause a problem later) A hyperextension is when the knee actually bends a little bit (or alot a bit) in the direction that it's not suposed to go. Talk to your coach or a local trainer or even better would be a sports medicine doctor (usually every HS has one) to determine what happened and also a course of action to keep it from becomeing more of a problem.

I'm not sure. But it sounds like what you went through was really bad. I would talk to a doctor. You shouldn't just ignore the problem.

its when ur knee gets bent the oppostie direction that its supposed to

hyperextension means extending (straightening) more than they're supposed to...trying to bend backwards.
