yes, you can use multiple network interfaces on a computer at the same time.

remember that you would need to configure the interfaces to work together to do this - if you're running windows on the computer, for example, then you need to make sure that you enable connection sharing in the connection that your DSL connection is plugged into, for example. (for Windows XP: select the connection->properties->advanced->internet connection sharing->check the allow box)

if you are running Linux, there are a number of good tutorials for setting up your computer as a router between two connections, including basically being able to configure your machine like a firewall as well:

No you cannot

you have to have something like a dlink or linksys router to share the connectionm, the reason is that the other computer has to be able to talk on the circuit and if the circuit is already in use by the first pc the second will not be able to connect, simply put the routers provide a method to poll the pc's and share the line.

Yes. It will work just fine.

You will simply have to turn on "Internet Connection Sharing"

The downside is, the computer your DSL is plugged into MUST be turned on in order for the second PC to be able to get to the internet.

Yes man , it actualy works okay both of them in the same time.. ;)and for sharing the internet connection you need an aplication like kerio winroute. i have a smal network where i live , made this way.but if you just want to unite the to networks connected to your lan cards you wil have to just make a bridge connection.

If I understand you correctly, yes, provided that you have the Mac OS 9.2.2 or greater installed or Windows 98SE or later installed. Linux will also share the connection.

Yes.

Here are some tutorials on doing it. I suggest you read them completely before attempting.

EDIT:
A note regarding linux, by default linux WILL NOT forward packets. If you need help with linux feel free to email me, I've got years of experience with networking in linux.
