I had that surgery done over 20 years ago, and although I do not remember the cost, I do remember I had to have a doctor sign a paper to certify that this was NOT for cosmetic reasons, it was for health reasons...

I had head aches and neck aches and back aches and they were all derived from my breasts being too heavy...

I had over 5 pounds of fat taken off each one, so total was just over 10 pounds, and I was told that was way too much...

You will be sore for several weeks and need to doctor yourself with creams and lotions underneath your breasts where the scars will be, and yes, scars will be there forever...

There is also a possibility of losing nerve tissue and a loss of feeling and sensation when the doctor cuts the tissue out, so be prepared to sign a paper that tells you that there may be a loss of feeling in the nerves after surgery...
This was my biggest problem...
My left side is somewhat numb...

Get your breast reduction surgery in INdia if cost is a factor for you.Cosmetic Surgery (including facelift/ breast enhancement/reduction/ tummy tuck./lipo) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance in USA or by the stinking NHS in UK

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .

My cousin got her cosmetic surgery for breast reduction and she is more than very happy with the results.SHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare companyfor the services they provided her.She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her.Excellent stay, food, best surgeons-she just couldnt stop talking.hope this helps.

I recently had one and it was $6,000 for the surgeon, $1000 for the anesthesiologist, and an unknown amount for the few hours in the hospital. I would say you should expect about $10,000 or so. It is worth every penny, believe me!
