People...I did not say all gay guys have brains and personality... I asked, why all those who do have these, tend to be gay!And there are some really great answers here...

Here's my theory: you are really hot.
Here's why I think so: When a straight guy talks to you he is mesmerized by your incredible sex appeal, so he can't really articulate himself very well. But the gays are unaffected, so they seem much smarter....Do I get the 10 points? :)

No, but you won't find us in frequenting bars or clubs. You'll find us active - actively working hard and actively playing hard. Paying bills is one thing that tends to get even the most personable man down, myself included, so if a guy seems to have a lot on his mind, it just means that he probably has a lot on his plate. Take a little time to get inside his head, find out where he is at, and you might find a diamond in the rough.
On the other hand, if a woman is self-absorbed, she may look right past him, seeing only the rough parts. And he may have nothing to do with her, anyway.
As the old saying goes, "Don't judge the book by the cover. Open it up and listen to what it's saying."

No, you just can't see the strait one because there fat and ugly, and have low self esteem. And if you'd give them half a chance them may be one of them would surprise you. But then again don't be stupid, you know witch ones to stay away from just like any body. I'm not asking you to go head over heels strait in to them. But may be start as friend, do be surprised if they call you all the time, (its not stocking) they just have nothing better to do. Come on what would you do if you had no friends? I want to say that I just typed out guide lines and as with every thing you need to use common scents, don't be dumb.

Stop hanging around gay guys if you want normal straight guys to come your way. You obviously like one or more of your homosexual friends. Any straight guy would see this and think there was a chance you had sex with a homosexual. Straight guys are disgusted thinking about being with you after one of them and will show no interest in you and might even go out of there way to give you the hint they are not interested.

I would call them liminal characters. They are on the border of everything. They always look at the things from two or more perspectives. They are not more intelligent than others. They can be said to have a kind of "Social intelligence" I wouldnt consider them to have brains. That they are on the border makes them sensitive and sensible. I do not agree with you that they all have personality.

hell no, first of all a guy with brains and personality such as me,would not be gay. a guy with a sick brain and dumb personality is the gay one. you need to get those facts straight. i love women only and will till my death. a woman is one of the most beautiful things in the world and is a very very special gift to us from GOD.

The reason why is because real men are not outer-directed and do not depend on the world's approval to believe and act as we do.
Rent an Ayn Rand movie called "The Fountainhead", or read the book. I think it was Gary Cooper.

Not really, you're probably just searching in the wrong places. An huge problem about that kind of guy is that usually they aren't hot or anything, they just reveal their true being after getting to know you for a while, and therefore girls tend not to notice them very much.

Theres plenty of smart straight guys but you just dont realize it cause you need to open your eyes.

Maybe. I have gay friends and they are not exactly brainy, or with great personalities. I just dated a guy who was straight, smart, wonderful personality, and hot; but we didn't get along because I hate too brainy guys and he didn't like me bc I wasn't brainy enough! There are some great guys out there who are not gay.

all the good ones are either taken or gay. so if the guy's not gay, he's gotta be taken.
what you need to do, is find a nice decent heterosexual guy who is taken and steal him away from his girl!
