RIT Dye.
I have a cousin who has used RIT for thirty years to sell his "Tie-Dye" T-Shirts, sheets and pillowcases to retail stores. He swears by it. (And I can too since I have washed and worn his art for years.)
Just follow the instructions on the bottle and if you need extra help, go to their site. http://www.ritdye.com/ They have a lot of great ideas and complete instructions on dying fabric there.
