Not unless you have the ability to transfer a persons consciousness into the clone body, a clone will never be the same as the original, even the smallest events have an effect on a person. It would be impossible to attempt to raise a clone in the exact same environment as the original, or another clone for that matter. They would only genetically be the same person.

It'd have it's ups & downs . . . knowing that one may never die takes away from what we all live for. If you were to never die, bungee jumping wouldn't have much meaning. "you only live once" wouldn't make much sense if a friend who didn't have a clone wanted to go to Europe on a whim because you were going to live forever anyway.
Perhaps we should ask ourselves if we wouldn't rather live longer, HEALTHIER lives if we had a clone of ourselves sitting in a jar waiting to be harvested for its parts.
Good question.

Yes, your image could live on indefinitely.
You could keep a video diary of your downfalls. When your
rebellious teenager wants to go against your advise, you could
say "go ahead", but first I want to show you the consequences
of what you're about to do.
Might delete the need for discipline.
Also, just image watching one's self grow up - could be sweet.

No, the person would never live forever, even if it's cloned. Its body could, but a "person" is created by their experiences, moments, pains, joys, and all that, something that science can't clone.
