Comedy Central "slighted him" during contract discussions for the season he left before.
Chapelle was "extremely offended" by Comedy Central and has said on several occasions that he will never sign a contract with them again.

Dave Chapelle was making that show for his people. When others started to recite back his stuff and then trying to add their two cent, he felt that he was selling out. The two seasons were raw, edgier, real. When sign for that 50 million executive thought that they could shape it to what they want. Like the old saying says: Too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the while meal. I miss Dave and wish him luck into getting back the reigns to his show.

no he got scared and flew to south africa because comedy central offered him 10 million dollars for 3 more years. i guess he didn't have enough jokes
