Conundrum 153: yeah right... continue to listen to those Mexican- biased commentator (like Pablo Ramírez, Jesús Bracamontes, José Luis Chilavert...) and you will turn-out to have a really contorted view of soccer.
Just think about their comments about Mexico winning the World Cup, Mexico being the best Team, Mexico here and there...
Yes, they are funny, but in terms of being unbiased or reading the game... I will suggest to keep the volume down.

Wowwww "Chris M": finally someone with a good knowledge of soccer!!! That is called obstruction and in the penalty box the other team is awarded with pk. Yes, it was unfortunate that happens at that time, but this is soccer, and until the game is over, rules must be applied.

Yes it was a good call. The Austrailian defenceman impeded the progress of play while missing the ball all together. If you watch the replay, Aussie player stuck his elbow out and tripped up the Italian forward enough to be called. The Spanish ref made the right call.
It wouldn't have been controversial anywhere else on the soccer pitch, but because it happen within the penalty box + in the last 12 seconds, it becomes a controversy.

Australia was robbed. They could very well have lost in overtime, but I think it would be an easier pill for the Aussies to swallow if they lost legitimately.

I'd love to see players banned for the year for taking dives. It completely takes away from the game.

No, it was horrible to see the game stolen from Australia like that. They deserved to move on to quarterfinals. :(

(I'm not Australian. I was completely neutral for that game.)
