Say you like classical music and listen to it on Pubic Radio.

According to all the right-wing regurgitation in these forums Public Radio and Television is Liberal biased. So, if you like classical music and listen to Public Radio then you must be a Liberal. If you’re a Liberal then you must be a Socialist. If you’re a Socialist then you must be a Communist intent on destroying our American way of life. If you’re a Liberal / Socialist / Communist then you must also a baby killing gay marriage supporter and anti-war pacifist.

You following me so far?

Okay, then let’s mention Laura Bush. She listens to Public Radio. So, according to all the right-wing regurgitation and logic in see in these forums then the wife of our President must be a Liberal Baby Killing Pinko.

I’m kind of slow so perhaps some of you good people can pick out the flaw in their logic for me.

Thank you.

(Not all Conservatives here are using the name-calling tactics I've discribed. This is aimed at that small fraction of the posters here.)

I'm not a Liberal or a Conservative. I'm an Independent, by the way.

~If you call that convoluted harangue "logic", you're right. You are kind of slow. That being the case, you wouldn't understand the multitude of flaws in your (lack of) reasoning. It's rock and roll that breeds communists. Classical music makes Jesus freaks and born agains.

Actually, 90% of all American media is owned by members of the republican party.

85% of this 90% is made up of major corporations owned by members of the Republican party.

The largest (approx.) 40% of media in the United States is owned by a company called Clear Channel. Next after them is a company known as FOX. AOL/Time Warner makes up the third largest.

Liberal media mostly consists of small, community based radio and newspaper companies that reach a small population. The largest Liberal media would likely be Howard Stern, and most liberals want nothing to do with him.

Liberal Media is nearly non-existent, but even Republican news channels, papers and Radio stations know when to zoom in on a hot story. Greed vs. Party loyalty, they are competing for ratings after all.

Ok, the main flaw in your logic is you are using what's called the Slippery Slope fallacy. You are taking something such as listening to NPR and turning it into baby killing. Listening to classical music has really no affect on what political group you are associated with.

cartoon stereotypes of what some people would like you to believe
