Did you know that urine is actually sterile? Even if the chlorine didn't take care of any bacteria it wouldn't make much of a difference. I know this sounds sick because of the taste but you can actually drink it and put it on wounds to clean it out if you have nothing else.

I have a rule about public pools, which is: I don't' get in. Period. no matter what chemicals are use to clean it. Not only you have to worry about urine, but other things like STDs like AIDS and open wounds.

Yep, that's why I won't swim in a public pool. Or any pool other than my own for that matter....

It doesn't really bother me. There's a lot of chemicals in there anyway. I usually shower as soon as I get out.

No, they just try not to think about it. All those little kids, waiting until the last minute...whoops, didn't make it. Oh well.
