"The Czar's family was executed in the basement of Ipatiev house [Yekaterinburg, Siberia] on the night 16-17th of July in 1918. The corpses were transported out of the city and thrown down an open mine (about 10 metres deep), called Ganya's pit. Hand grenades were thrown down the mineshaft by their executioners. The Russian Orthodox Church insists on the version, that the bodies were taken out of the mine, dissected and burnt into ash. On this site, a monastery was founded in 2000 after the visit of Patriarch Alexei II - the Head of Russian Orthodox Church. 'The church in the Names of Saint Newly Martyrs' and five other wooden churches have been built in honour of the different Russian saints. These churches were built with local timber without the aid of any nails."

"Their bodies were then taken some 40 kilometers (25 miles) outside Yekaterinburg, stripped and thrown into a mine shaft. But the next day, fearing the bodies would be discovered by approaching units of the counterrevolutionary White Army loyal to the czar, the Bolsheviks removed the corpses and burned them, doused them with acid and buried them by the side of a road."

This is the only map I have been able to find. You can zoom in. With the clues given above, you may be able to find the location you need:

I'd reallly be more happy if you could tell me where Volvo Corp. burried that Volvo that is free for the digging. You are supposed to just drop by any Volvo dealership and pick up a map, but I doubt if that is going to be the final answer. Oh well.

I don't know the exact location but they did find the bones in a well I think and were able to use to forensic science to identify them as actually being all but two of the Romanovs.
I think they were unable to identify Anastasia and Alexiv

I could be wrong, but I thought the remains were found. I read somewhere that only Alexei's were still missing. The rest of the family was found and was scheduled to be reburied, but the Communist Governemnt prohibited it. The remains are supposedly in a governemnt storage locker.
