Starr Jones basically ruined it for herself. She created alot of strikes against her. She flaunted how she used sponsors to foot the bill for her wedding, which didn't sit well with viewers. She lost alot of weight and was not honest about how she did it. That also turned viewers off. Besides that, she was very argumentative on the show, as well as acting conceited by mentioning her law degree too many times. The View is supposed to be regular women chatting and talking about things. Starr Jones was making it increasingly uncomfortable for the rest of the ladies on the show, and for us the viewers out here watching it. If you watch The View now, the atmosphere is so much more relaxed and the banter flows the way it should. That was a smart move to let Starr go. Rosie will make a great addition to the show too.

It depends on who you want to believe. Barbara Walters said that Starr's contract was up at the end of the summer season. Starr says that she was fired.
I personally believe Barbara.

She got fired. The producers of the show gave her the option to tell people during the show why she got fired. Her fans were upset because she didn't tell them that she had gastric bypass surgery to lose weight. Rosie O'Donnell didn't help the situation either. This diminished her popularity greatly resulting in her termination.

her ego probably got way to big to fit through the door of the set, does anyone else notice every chance she gets she has to mention she's a lawyer....yeah so , now your fat *** is on a sofa talking about brainless filler. No never did never do never will watch that show so i cant tell u what really happened, just my guess

She had gastric bypass surgery and lost a bundh of weight. Then she got even more stuck-up than whe was before and she either left or got kicked off.

i heard that abc was planning on firing her beause they didnt want her anymore. but she heard about it earlier before they told her and so she got quit but almost fired.
