Believe it or not, roses love banana peels. After peeling a banana, place the peels around the base of the rose bush. This works well. Also, coffee grounds and used tea bags may be used as fertilizer for most all plants.

Hi,

I have had great results with Alaskan Fish fertilizer.
Also, you can make this to keep your roses blooming all summer long:

1 cup of beer
2 teaspoons instant tea granules
1 teaspoon of 5-10-5 plant food
1 teaspoon of fish emulsion
1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide
1 teaspoon dishwashing liquid
2 gallons warm water

mix all ingredients in a bucket or watering can then water each rose plant with 1 pint of the solution in the morning every three weeks.

Best wishes!
