I learned that I'm a pushover and tend to be too analytical at times. If there's something that gets me upset, I need to be more assertive & to just be able to accept moments the way it's meant to be.

I learned who I am, complete with what I like about myself and what I don't. I can change some of what I consider to be my shortcomings, and I can accept what I cannot change.

I guess a wise person would say that on introspection you can learn nothing, because the wise person realizes they know nothing. However I am not a smart man. I learned that you should not pee off a boat while it takes off. This causes you to fall into the lake with your own urine.

Actually my father taught me this but the lesson is nonetheless beautiful: You deserve everything and you deserve nothing.

to tell oneself that one deserves nothing it is impossible to get angry because you did not deserve to have that thing in the first place
