Does Boston dislike both teams or just the Yankees. I know the Mets beat Boston in '86 ( since then the curse has be lifted ) but remember you guys have to see the Yankees 18 times a season. We have to live with these "ehem", Yankees fans here in New York. Believe me when I say a lot of Mets fans were rooting for Boston.

I personally have nothing against the Mets. I am sure there are still fans who hold a grudge against the Mets for '86. I'd say it is the same way that I don't hate the Packers, but I'm not a big fan of them for beating the Pats in 97. And it can't be called a rivalry when you only play every other year or so in interleague. Yankees are the real rivalry. Oh and it's 19 times a year that they play each other. Last season, NY and Boston finished with identical record but the Yankess won the division by beating the Sox 10-9 in head to head games.

As a red sox fan, I can say that I do not dislike the mets or the yankees, just obnoxious yankee fans who are frontrunners. If you live in new york, it is fine to be a yankee fan. If you grew up in ny and moved it is ok to be a yankee fan. If you did not ever live in new york and do not root for your home team, you are a frontrunner. There are many yankee fans here in massachusetts that would have a hard time finding new york on a map yet they root for the team for one reason, the win more than any other team. The yankee fans that I know are now also heat, hurricane, and steeler fans at the moment.

I am no Mets fan or of any other team in pro sports from New York, but the Yankees are at the very top of my hate list. They and their fans are rude, arrogant, and still live in past glory. Certainly this year they are awful.

i love the Dodgers yet out of those communities i love the pink Sox, Mets merely aren't any strong, Yankees nicely they are for sure the superb yet i'm a Yankee hater and the Phillies have knocked my Dodgers out of the playoffs 2 years in a row!

Well out of those 3 teams I like the Yankees best... but my real opinion is to hell with those teams... GO WHITE SOX!!

the mets arent a rival, so i would bet not. i like the Red Sox and the Mets, definantly not the Yankees though

I think everyone dislikes the yankees.
It doesnt matter though because the yankees haven't won a WORLD Series this century---nor will they.

I came from MA moved to NY so I still like the BoSox better than the Mets but the Mets are like my 3rd favorite team (2. Cards).
