Even though your going to be a sophmore, you can play with the jr's and sr's. The only thing that these guys have over you is age. If you are playing the sport you enjoy, these 2 a days won't be so bad, before you know it, you will get through them, and they will be over. Just enjoy what you love to do, and get better at the position you play. You will dominate and hopefully your team will do their best and you guys will go to state. A few years down the road, you will look back and realize you achieved something that you had to work your butt off for. It will be well worth it.

WHOA...you've been playing since the 7th grade and never got two a days???
2-a-days are awesome!!
Nothing to be worried about.
First practice will be about position fundamentals, agilities, and then conditioning. - Usually -
Second practice is about squad, tackling, and team practices.
It's hard work...but it does not Succcck...
three a days in college succccck
here's my advice...I'm a defensive coordinator and guess what...i schedule the teams 2 and 3 a days....
Start getting in physical shape now...jog in the mornings...
do push ups and sit ups after a good jog.
During your 2 a days...make sure you eat something at LEAST an hour prior always include a banana
...and drink 2 glasses of water.
When you break after the first practice....drink a bottle of water first before anything else...eat carbs...especially lots of fruit to feed your body.
Make every practice hard.
the more you sweat and grunt in practice;
the better you'll play in a game.
Older and stronger means very little with all that padding on.
Stay low -
keep your shoulders over your knees...
and use your hands to drive up under their shoulder pads and control them.
...are you familiar with the "breakdown" position - Choppy feet - hands out to your sides...??
after your jog - push ups & sit ups...
breakdown into this position and flex at the hip...almost as though you were trying to sit down with your feet chopping up turf.
This will help your back get accustomed to assuming that position for blocking and tackling.
You'll be fine.
Enjoy it ... find me at the dot com place of

Nerves are normal especially for someone in your positon. I was a starting LB at 130 lbs in H.S. and played well. It's about heart and knowlege of the game. Two-a-days do suck but they pay off if you work hard. I went into the military after H.S. and basic training was easy compared to football practice-no kidding. My advice-don't eat large meals between unless you want to be up-chucking in the afternoon.

Conditioning up the A S S. If you aren't used to running a lot then you most likely will throw up. Water should be provided and if not, that s a bad coaching staff. Good Luck man!

Speaking from experience if you have never been through it before nothing will prepare you for what you will experience. My advice make sure you are in shape, and fear no one.
