only for teens who don't have the sense to keep personal info to themselves.

I think it's bad for everyone. Look at the adults being fired from their jobs over it. Adults aren't taking it seriously, so why do we expect the kids to? If we think about it in that sense, the kids ARE making adult decisions. It's as if this generation of parents, (and I don't mean all) are from my defiant 80's be-yourself don't take no crap era. Problem with that time period is...many of these adults are still merely rebellious teens in grownup bodies fighting back vicariously through their children. So...YEP MySpace is bad for teens.

It can be bad if you're "naive." If you've got "street smarts," then you'll probably be OK there. Just don't give potential predators any clues as to who you are or where you can be found.

Also, try to not reinforce bad habits, such as writing in "text messaging" style--which is the typical form of communication on places that cater to young people, such as MySpace. (I mean, using a casual, semi-literate style of writing is OK in some places, but you don't want to get out of High School and be writing your resumes that way--know what I'm talking about?)

I don't think it's necessarily bad for teens.....I think teens are sometimes naive to think it's safe to talk to older people on there. And then of course, you have the older people who are perves and are seeking teens out. I think it is, though, an interesting way for teens to communicate, express themselves, etc.

It depends on their maturity level. If it is used simply with friends that they already have or to keep in touch with people as they graduate it is not at all a problem. It is when strangers are introduced that the trouble begins

Its bad for teens who have no parental involvement in their lives. If parents were more responsible and aware of what their children are doing the internet wouldn't be as bad.
