Yes, obesity related illnesses cost society millions in unpaid medical bills and higher insurance premiums.

We should also outlaw SUVs, or any automobile that gets less than 25mpg and put restrictions on the amount of gas any driver uses in a given week.

Second hand smoke is a drag, but I can easily avoid it by not frequenting establishments that allow smoking. Air pollution from cars on the other hand, is impossible to get away from and is definitely linked to more cardiovascular illnesses than second hand smoke.

If you drive a gas guzzler, make sure you don't sneer at the smokers. Your gluttony is more detrimental to society than theirs.

I think your about as stupid as one person could possibly be. I have had weight issues my whole life. I don't infringe on others lives ever. I think this society we live in encourages unhealthy life styles such as anorexia and bulimia and uneccessary surgery. Some idiot somewhere decided we should all weigh 100 lbs and be a size zero, this is not the norm people! I almost 6 feet tall I have never weighed less than 145lbs (high school) Little girls as young as 9 and 10 are on diets, this is wrong.

I am a huge overeater.... and I spend 2 hours at the gym everyday earning that right. 22 BMI and well muscled up. You gonna tell Lance Armstrong not to have that steak dinner after a 5 hour training session?

Hmmm, and just how are YOU going to determine who are overeaters and who have metabolic disorders or illnesses that predispose these people to weight gain? Amazing how callous you are! And judgmental!

Until you make it to the ripe age of 60 without any weight problems, I suggest you not make any rash judgments. After all, payback is a b***** as they say.

I do, if they're gonna kill themselves slowly thats fine, just don't let them inconvience the rest of us. Fat people are alway in the way and decreasing the standards by which food companies make food, and I'm sick of second hand smoke

I say no

The anti smoking drive is because second hand smoke does in fact cause disease. When someone blows smoke in my face, they are making their bad habit my business.

Someone else's fat has no side effects for anyone but themselves, or their wives. Their fat, consequently, is none of my business whatsoever.
