it was pure fiction in every episode walker violated someones rights, that doesn't fly in Texas.

It's all for entertainment.

They would have had an advisor on set to make sure they got police procedures correct.

They may have read about crimes for inspiration to write a story. However, if it was too close to an actual story, they would have put "this program is fictional and does not represent any real event" kind of label at the top of the show.

It's all fiction. But it is made to look real at times. I love the show myself and wish I had the money to get the seasons on DVD. My favorite was the final season the Wedding and then the birth of the Walker's daughter.

the rangers were closley in volved in the show as chuck is an honorary texas ranger. the shows were purley made up with some ripped from the headlines. i loved the show and am a big fan of lone wolf maquade.
