I have a slight skin problem on my penis , now i want this for check up . I have a lady doctor near by . I called her today and asked her if any male doctor is available . she said no and said it's normal for her and there's no problem . Shall i c to her or go long distance away ? Also i fear if i have an erection infront of her , what will she take it as and also should i shave my privates and go
( i usually don't shave)

No whatever you have i am sure she has seen worse. Its okay if you have an erection in front of her? What is the worse she can do? If you dont go it just shows that you are insecure about your manhood. Dont shave, dont prepare, dont do anything, just go, and be yourself.

It doesn't matter whether you'll see a lady doctor or a male doctor because they treat the same. You don't need to shave, just wash it well before going. One tip that can prevent you from getting hard on you can masturbate first prior to your appointment and don't think of any sexual fantacies while she's checking you out. Usually the doc will just take a peek not unless the skin problems is too bad that she needs to touch it and take swabs. In case you get an erection, just say sorry, I'm sure it's not the first time for her to experience that with a patient.

Trust me - she's not going to care about your penis. I'm sure she's seen a fair few. If you have a medical problem, then go see a medical professional. It doesn't matter whether or not the doctor, too, has a penis.
I highly doubt you will have an erection in front of her anyway. Do you find it easy to have an erection when you're nervous? Probably not. But, even if it does happen, she won't think it's because you find her hot. She's a doctor so she knows what you're going through - she sees it every day. Chill out and don't worry so much. Women go to male gynos every day and we tough our way through it. It'll be okay.

And no different than if a woman goes to a male gynecologist. I agree it's more comfortable to have doctor appts M/M or F/F, but what ever happens is gonna happen and perfectly natural.
What's not perfectly natural is something unusual is concerning you -- so just go right away. I guarantee you she won't see your big deal as a big deal towards her. I also wouldn't recommend shaving...God, no! 3 days after the appointment you'll wonder why you bothered to worry that much for those 5 minutes. I'm sure she'll be able to find her way around the bush!

I'm sure that she is used to whatever reactions a guy could have. She has probably seen men with erections under the circumstances. That aside, it would be embarrassing. If you can't wait for a male doctor, try to keep your mind off anything that would lead into that. Try thinking about why you're there. Don't shave. It's not required.

Don't worry, if you do get an erection she won't miscontrue it. She is probably expecting an erection b/c you'll be nervous. Don't shave. I'm a girl, but I have guy friends who have had erections in front of female docs and the docs didn't seem to mind at all.
Since it is a skin problem, have you considered seeing a dermatologist instead?

I think that you should see a doctor based on your comfortablity. My boyfriend once got an erection when a female doctor was examing him because they way she was handling his penis. He was pretty embarrassed and never went there again but then again I have read that it is normal for men to get erections when there are female doctors examing them. I think if you want to go that you might as well give it a shot. If you do not like her then you can always cancel and see another doctor.

First of all disregard every STUPID opinion of every STUPID female that is answering a question posted in the Men's Health category. We don't tell them how to use tampons but they cant control there stupidity.
The fact that you even asked says it all, if you are having doubts go to a male doctor!
I once went to another doctor's office that was taking the calls of my own doctor, not knowing that this other doctor was a female, I ended up walking out!

Well just go ahead.I been in this situation before but having some
anus problem.It might feel embarrassing when it need to takeoff
the cloth,but there are no another way to let the DOC check on it beside this.I'm do have an erection in front of the DOC and the assisting nurse.But her pretend didn't see it.

I prefer a lady doctor, if anyone is going to be touching me like that, professional or otherwise, why not a women. If an erection happens, oh well.

How old are you? Wow theres not that many men around that are shy like that. You sound like my husband. Don't ever change and if seeing a female bothers you don't go to one. And you never have to shave to see a doctor. Good luck with your problem.
