There is always a risk of getting pregnant, regardless when you decide to have sex or how much protection is present. Sperm, for example, can live for up to 72 hours in the uterus, giving plenty of time for it to find another egg to fertilize. On the other hand, the risk of getting pregnant during your period is significantly lower during menstruation. It is also lower if you're using protection (properly, I should add). I can understand people who say that there is no chance, because it is very low, but it has happened to people before...

Yes. Even though its highly unlikely. Women ovulate 10-14 days AFTER their periods. This is when your body releases an egg. This is a woman's most fertile time. But the body can be tricky and release an egg at any time. Using protection is your best bet EVERY time you have sex!!! I wouldn't worry too much. You have an less than one percent chance of becoming pregnant.

If it was protected sex then its highly unlikly coupled with period its near impossible however a girl can get pregenat during her period if its unprotected.

Okay, other than the eww factor.. Domes are only 97% effective.
the menstrual cycle has already started sending the next egg down the tube, toward the uterus, but is flushing the lining from only one side, so, though not very likely, it has happened.

My doctor told me that you have a higher chance of getting pregnant a week before and the week after your menstrual.

Anytime you have vaginal sex, you run the risk of pregnacy. Period!

Also, if you don't know the answer to this question you shouldn't be having sex in the first place.

No, you cant fall pregnant while on your period full stop, but in some cases you can get TSS .
