becausae we all fear what we do not understand, employers are afraid they will have to foot the bill for special accomidations. people with disabilities do have to look harder but when they find a fit, it usually lasts longer and is more meaningfull knowing you are working with caring people and for a caring boss or company.

Well I am sorry to hear that.
Some people do not understand the difficulties of being disabled but depending on how are you disabled, it can affect your work. Also, i believe there are not enough policies in companies adn government to protect the disabled from discrimination.
In my country there is this disabled organization that helps them to find jobs. I think you can go check it out if your country has it too.
If there is a ministry of manpower or something like that which belongs to the government, you can go there to ask for help or lodge a complain against employers who may be discriminating. However, I'm not quite sure how long it takes.
You can carry yourself with more dignity, with more pride, and have more confidence. It will help others to believe that you are capable. For example, look at them in the eye when you're talking, it shows that you are not uncomfortable. Body language is important...
Good luck on finding a good job!

Sorry to hear that. You become a liability. Like someone that pregnant. They will have to take a leave of absence. I am sure you can do your job well and perhaps better than most. What you need is to get some experience. I know thats easier said than done. I am in the same boat. No one want to hire with experience. Are you in school? Go to school and get a degree that will open a lot more doors. At the very least get certified in something. And if you cant get a job doing what you like. Start your own business. Again easier said. Good luck

Disability is viewed as a inability to be funcional. unfortunately as a employer I have seen it all, I have had to hire for spacific jobs and at times have had no choice but to disqualify someone based on their abilities. But not because they are disabled. for example a person comes in and uses a wheel chair, lets say they are interviewing for a desk job, I have to look at the abilty of that person to be able to perform all functions with reasonable acommodations. If the job requires the person to run out to a supply store, then I must look at the fact that he or sh are using a wheelchair. I also have to look at all the other applicants. then my decission may lay on the one who would be most efficient.
Unfortunately there are many employers who dont give an applicant a second look if the person is in some way challanged.

That is discrimination. If you are fully qualified for a job why not ask why you didn't get it. Some companies actually try to hire disabled people (some sort of reverse-discrimination quota they need). You could also go see an employment counsellor who can set you in the right direction or at least help you get a job that will give you more experience if that is what you need.

If you were an employer, would you hire a physically fit person, or a disabled one? Generally the latter is less efficient.
I feel for you though. It doesn't seem fair, but it makes the most sense...in a way.

Your ability to understand the job is more important than your looks. I'm worried that with your spelling and grammar, you probably wont get a job.
