Two names for the WORST players of the 2006 World Cup: De Rossi (ITA) and Mastroeni (USA)
Reasons: both of them, in the same game (ITA-USA) had committed two inexcusable fouls that damaged enormously their Teams.
In terms of performance, I would say that you can pickup any of the Costa Rica's players: their performance was embarrassing in each game they have played.

I must say Wayne Rooney...He just had a bad attitude and doesn't know when to shut his mouth. Real stupid
Second worst player I would say is Ronaldhinio...I am a brasil fan and have to say..his performance was worse than ever. Moreover he is the best player of the year. You couldn't see that at all during the worldcup. So damn disappointed.

There were many bad players, but from the "big" names I have to say it was Wayne Rooney. He was unfit, afraid to touch the ball and got a red card for a really mean action.

Ronaldinho.
FIFA World Player of the Year. He hasn't live up to that title. Being rated the best player in the world at the moment, he has not shown it during the World Cup. What about the 'Nike' ads??? He has not shown that skills during the World Cup either!

I agree with Nadja S.
I would pick Ronaldinho too. He started in every single game for Brazil. He is supposed to be one of the best playmakers presently, but he didn't do a thing for his team. I wonder what happened to him. Could too much money be the cause?

i dont think any single player was THAT bad...though some had really bad luck...or played on really bad teams....or had really bad coaches that made really bad choices.
