Snail Mail
Normal postal mail, where an actual physical letter or package is delivered. The term didn't exist until electronic mail (e-mail) became so prevalent that there was a requirement to differentiate the two. Obviously, the term was invented by e-mail aficionados as a small barb directed at the relative slowness of physical transportation.
Snailmail is sometimes spelled as two separate words, snail mail.

It is a traditional letter sent through the postal service. It is called snail mail because it is "slow" compared to email which is "fast."

It means you get a piece of paper and a pen and write a letter, etc. put it in an envelope, put a stamp on it, and either let your mailman pick it up, or drop it off at the post office. Then it will be delivered to someone by their mailman.

Mail sent the "old-fashioned" way, via the US Mail. So called because it is much slower than e-mail.

Are you serious, you don't know? It's where you write a letter on paper and put it in an envelope with a stamp and stick in a mailbox and then it gets delivered by a postal delivery person.
