You mean by "PC," a personal computer? If so "got booted off" is not a correct term used in computers.
"Boot" is a term used to start up your computer. When you turn the power switch on, it load an initial program from hardware, called "BIOS" or "boot loader" which then loads Windows.
The term "boot" comes from an old story where a person stuck in a sinking sand pulled himself out of it by pulling on his own boot-strap.
Computers can't do anything without programs. But programs can't be loaded without programs because computers can't do anything without programs. This seemingly paradoxical situation was seemed parallel to pulling oneself from a sinking sand by pulling his own boot-strap - also an impossible proposition.
This is a story from early 70s when all this started....

It means your computer disconnected you, either from the Internet as a whole or the messenger you were on. It can also mean your computer shut off without you wanting to. This happens more with poorly used computers and old computers.
