Sounds like a muscle spasm. Pinch the area between your opposite thumb and index finger. Hard enough to hurt a little, but not so hard that you can't take a deep, smooth breath. Hold it for 30 seconds at a time, ice 20 minutes in between pinchings, and lay off the games until it feels normal.

You can also stretch your thumb backwards, but be careful not to stretch too far or you could injure the connective tissue in your muscle.

Carpal tunnel has been linked to the motion of squeezing your thumb and pinkie towards each other, so be careful with that.

Probably a Repetitive Motion Injury from all the video gaming.

could be carpal tunnel syndrome or other specific damage.
Can be nerves, muscles, tendons, or a combination.

use cool to cold compresses - not hot.

FIRST - stop playing for a while.
SECOND - see a doctor, the sooner the better.
depending on the damage, the body may still be able to repair this, but maybe not.

It's not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome it it hurts between your thumb and index finger. But you should probably lay off the games for a while.

Carpal Tunnel has some different symptoms so I doubt it's that. It's probably a bursitis from overuse of your hand. Try Advil as an anti-inflammatory and stop doing the offending activity for a week, see if it clears up.

It means you are repeatedly your thumb and probably pinched a nerve or strained the ligament or muscle in your thumb. At little less video gaming is probably a good idea until it heals.

it means your not placing your thumbs correctly AND THEY BEGIN TO HURT AND SINCE YOU PLAYED IT EVERYDAY FOR A COUPLE OF Days it's doing that switch thing you were talking about keep your thumbs straight whilte pressing buttons and moving those tiny circle things so they wont hurt anymore and your head will hurt because your looking at a virtual screen with virtual stuff half the time and you need to look at reality more lol.

~Get to a neurological hospital ASAP. The recent Taurascheitzen study has linked prolonged exposure to the electromagnetic field generated by computer and tv display units, exacerbated by close proximity to the source, is a leading cause of brain tumors.

It will not go away by itself if you keep playing. Most of the other answers are good.
