I don't think you ever forget someone who has been the "love of your life", but I can tell you from experience that you can meet someone who will put that love to shame. I had been married for years and had 3 boys when my ex decided that he wanted to date and I had to start over. At the time I thought my life was over and spent the next few years learning lots about myself and how to be a complete person. Years later I met and married a wonderful man who treats me like a queen and has been a great step-father to my boys. I hope the same for you, good luck

Well obviously there is a reason they stopped loving you for one! You have to stop and remember the reason they left and keep that in mind. There are better fish in the sea if that one left you and if they left they really didn't love you! Just think of it this way...they don't know what they are missing and maybe the next person will treat them the way they treated you. Don't dwell on it the one that left isn't worth it and you can do better and you are going to prove it when you have a new "better half" who treats you like you should be!

awwww I am in the exact same situation & it is the worst feeling in the world isnt it? I have no clue how to get over him though. I think about him every second of the day & i hate it....i hate the fact that i cant stop it. I have asked this same question & all the answers i got basically said just give it time & stay busy. But time goes so slow when you dont have them one week without them feels like a year without him. Well just keep trying & i will too & i hope everything works out great with you & him.

you can't forget him, nothing will take the feelings away and even time will not erase those thoughts and wants with him, however you can move on but he will not leave your heart if he is truley the love of your life he wont go away inside of you unfortunately this happens but at least you have memories and be happy that you had that time to spend with him,in the end if you two can be together and live close by you will be back together again,

They way I actually did forget the love of my life who also stoped loving me is by focusing on God and the Words of Jesus. I have tried other ways in the past like dating others and drinking alcohol, and partying but that wasn't working. the only way I forgot about my Ex was by reading the bible; it taught me the meaning of true love.

The only thing that will help is time. And you need to be with those close to you. Everyone has been where you are at right now, it's part of life and it hurts. But in time you find someone else, who loves you back.

How can they be the love of your life, the love of you life is the one who loves you back.
This ones just a practice run, your always going to remember certain people in your past but it's that one, that makes you look towards your future together that is the love of your life after all you'll spend your lifes together.

Honey, if he stopped loving you then he wasn't the love of your life. There's plenty of fish in the sea. Get yourself all dolled up and go out with friends. It will make you feel better. I've also found that fooling around on line with guys helps bring up your confidence so you can go out on the dating scene again!

Sometimes you never forget, but mainly you have to move on in life. I am not saying date other people. But try something new, do something you used to do before you met that person. Try to enjoy life and move on to better things. Eventually it won't be so bad and when you feel ready, try to date.
