I lost 27 pounds two years ago and am slowly putting the weight back on.... I ask my husband for help but my husband says he wants me thick. I am back in to a size 16 so I am FAT. I was told that not all men like skinny women and if I didn't believe it then ask - so what do men really think about thick women?

Does it really matter what other men think? I would think you should be concentrating on what one man thinks.

im a chick, but I am a little thick and my b/f likes me the way i am. i think a lot of guys like girls with curves..we went to the beach today, there were a zillion girls there with flat tummies..i felt insecure and told my b/f that i felt that way, and he told me they were too small. seriously. so really there are guys out there that appreciate wide hips and big breasts and curves, for Gods sake! all women are beautiful..you cant believe what society tells you about whats beautiful...i will never be quite a size two model, and i wouldnt wanna be..i love my butt.i love having a butt. Im glad my butt isnt flat. im sure you are beautiful. i think that the only thing there is to to do, is eat healthy and exercise as to prevent health problems in the future. I just try to stay the weight I am and eat healthy. remember....things could be worse. you could be trying to stay fit at the weight you are now, or at 100 lbs fatter than you are now...where would you rather be?

Years ago, I was dieting and lost 25 lbs. I still had lots of body fat on me even though I was 120 lbs. I was at coffee break at work and two women I work with came into the cafeteria and I commented on how lithe and lovely they both were. One of he men at the table said "You've got to be kidding, that would be like F***** a skeleton. Another friend said she avoid sex as a fat woman until one time she got it on with a fellow and he said that was the most comfortable F** he's ever had.

I didn't hold back on the language because it was said. I think men like looking at skinny women and touching women of substance!

Well I can't speak for ALL men but, personally, I do not care if they are fat or skinny. He is married to you and he wants you to be thicker so you should not feel bad about being fat. All women deserve men who can look past their bodies and look at their soul and personality. Looks do not last forever so if guys go after the shallow, good looking girls(I'm not saying ALL good-looking girls are shallow) then it won't last because when her looks are gone there won't be any redeeming quality left in her. You should be content with whatever body type you have. Confidence and a good personality brings out the beauty in everyone.

My perseption is,, it's not the thickness of a women. It is the heart and what is on the inside. If a man judge a women by looks then they are instantly lost to the fate of injustice and lies of what the world says should be.Be of good heart and screw the modern thought. Size 16 Is actually not bad. It depends on what you want and where you want to go.

Some men don't like skinny women, but really that isn't important here. What's important is how YOU'RE happy with your body and how your husband feels about it as well. If the both of you are satisfied, then its all good.

Some men like heavier women, some men like lighter women. Some like tall, some like short. I like small, petite women and my best friend swears by the taller, heavier women. We argue about it all the time. If your husband is happy, ask yourself why you want to lose the weight. Do you want to lose it for health reasons, to feel better about yourself, because the girls in the magazines are telling you to-figure out why. Once you've addressed the 'why' factor, consider whats in your best interest and do it. It seems to me your husband will support your decision, you are lucky. Best of luck to you.

This is one of those questions that may never have a complete answer and/or the answer(s) that you do recieve may or may not be true. Asking "what to guys think" is like asking " what does my cat think about world hunger." I know it is not what you wanted to hear but I just thought that I would save you the head ache. I live by this theory " What a GUY thinks or What is a GUY thinking is usually WHAT a GIRL is feeling."

As long as your husband loves and accepts you for who you are, why should it matter to you? However, if you want to lose weight for the a healthier you, then tell your husband you want to lose the weight for health reasons. But I think your husband loves you no matter your size and I would be grateful for that kind of unconditional love!

You can't generalize about men in this way. Some guys like bigger women, some guys like tall and lanky, some guys like petite, some guys like athletic bodies, etc., etc. Remember: The average dress size in the US is a 14.
