I'm a college student who drinks regularly at parties and other events. When I am at home I don't drink very often and feel no desire to drink. I am wondering if 4 years of this behavior will have health risks.

It only gets worse... and you are probably drinking more than you realize. The best thing I ever did was quit. Not cut down.... quit. Stop.... don't drink alcohol at all. The health consequences are NOT worth it. Not only are you damaging your body, you are putting yourself at risk of serious injury from accidents.

I used to be an air ambulance pilot.... most of the patients I transported were there because of either smoking or drinking... they smoked till they had a heart attack.... or they were drunk and did something stupid... wrapped their car around a telephone pole... fell off a motorcycle... fell down stairs... took some stupid risk they wouldn't have dared to do sober.... got into a fight with another person as drunk as they were... they Effed themselves up big time.

Just stop. You don't need a class.... you don't need an AA 12 step program... you don't need betty ford.... just Effing Quit

Once an Alci always an alci. You are not an alci. If you were you would drink all the time and have to drink all the time. My grandpa was an alcaholic and he was always one even when he stopped drinking because of his health problems. So if you want to drink at all just do it socially and you shouild be okay. As long as socially is only once or twice a month.

The minute you first start dinking you are poisoning your liver and kidneys but after a while then they start to cause serious problems like they start to shut down and that may cause you serious pain and even death.

Yes, it will please for your own good stop its not worth it. My husband drank and he always said if something shows up that its hurting me I will stop then. He passed away in August of Liver Cancer. It didn't show up until it was to late. Think about it!
