can teleportation ever become a reality?

before you say a big no consider this:
100 yrs ago people laughed at the idea of artificial satellites...
50 yrs ago people laughed at the idea of mobile phones...
do you want to laugh at this idea now and see future generations actually using it?

Yes i believe that we are at a age where the only limit to makeing it work is our imagination. As we are in a world of constant change i know that one day we will even have cars that can fly! No more traffic jams! Let me tell you a little secret me and a couple of my mad scientist friends have managed to succesfully teleport a table knife from one end of the room to the other, we are busy experimenting on fruits! The reason to see if there is any change in the molecular construction and design and tast of that specific fruit! So A BIG YES it is possible! It can be Done! One day we will be able to teleport arround the world using international teleport stations!

I don't think it's going to happen in our lifetime. You have to think that there will be screw-ups. It wouldn't be safe enough. Some poor guy will put in the PIN# for McDonalds, teleport there, and come out with a leg hanging from his chest. It would be to difficult to seperate bajillions of cells and put them back in the correct order. Keeping them alive would be just as difficult. But this is just an opinion of a 16yr old.

And to add to your list........... When Telephone was invented... Some famous scientist said that everytyhing which can be invented has been invented and there can be no further inventions!!! And everyone knows what all was invented after telephone!!!
If you ask me, teleportation is a possibility, becuase we can telecast pictures, videos.. We can broadcast Sound.......... So, why not physical teleportation??? When man is able to channel hereto undiscovered powers of the Brain, there would be no limits to what can be achieved!

.... the daily routines of our lives that society deems to be "reality", actually requires less than 3% functioning of our DNA. So I believe that within the other dormant 97%, we would most certainly find the ability to teleport, to say the very least.

Hey! it's already there. teleportation of speech/sound is telephony and so on. It's only a matter of time to acheive the teleportaion, what you are asking about (of human body??), to happen. If signal/speech/sound/images can be transported else where, why not things/articles?? Human brain will acheive everything. We will be lucky to experience, if it happens during our life time.

yess it is possible.the scientific institution in france called CERN has send a few neutrons to another scientific lab somewhate in italy through the earth.ofcource it depends on the property of the particles also. but it is achivable.it may be a distant dream right now it may be done in the future

Sure it can..... you go first lol. I'd be worried about reappearing somewhere without all of myself or teleporting into a restroom someone's in. It'd be great not to have to use cars. I don't think that we will see it in our lifetime. Many great ideas were ahead of their time.

according to poular science magazine, yes and they're still working on it. a couple of yeas ago they succeded in "transporting" a few molecules from NY to CA. The theory supposedly has something to do with wormholes.
