i will tell you from experience that long distance relationships just do not work. of course every relationship varies so no one will be the best judge of yours except yourself. but as a romantic, i will say, give it a shot. after all, you tried and the effort is worth something. good luck.

That your leaving is not the problem. Is he following you when he is done, is the problem. If he is, phone, weekends, semester breaks and email can keep you close, for a time. If he is going somewhere farther away when he is done, it becomes much harder, and I dont believe those relationships work out. Sorry to say, but, if you stay friends, keep in touch, when you are both done school, who knows, you could get back together and find the spark still exists.
