Hanging around at Yahoo Answers is actually quite good at obtaining more useful knowledge than you would at second year university. This is because you are able to explore your interests and obtain more knowledge about it.
For example, I care about Yahoo Answers since I am a computer technician for the Geek Squad at Best Buy. By hanging around the computer section a lot, I am able to answer questions that I know, get feedback about the answers I gave, and find ways to improve my answers. This way, I am able to better help the customers at work. As well, there are many things I have yet to learn (I never knew T1 internet had 24 streams until today :) and reading the answers could only expand my knowledge on my area of expertise.
So really, it isnt true that everyone does not care about answering questions. It is useful at exploring self interest and expanding your knowledge.

because there are people that want to be nosy and others who do care and have been thru alot in life ..and willing to share...help for those who want and need or just to have someone understand..like me......
