My school is like that too but people still get away with it. Anyway... what is your question?

What are you wearing the rest of the year? I'm sure that you are not wearing flip-flops and tank tops during the cooler parts of the year.
The wearing of flip-flops is a safety issue.
And I believe that wearing tank tops creates a distraction and draws a lot of attention (sometimes unwanted) that the schools try to prevent. I don't think school is the place for them. It is hard enough without the attention that tank tops draw.

well then wear it if the schools not gonna take you on a shopping spree for new clothes wear what you have i do the same thing and i don't get in trouble

that does suck in my school we aren't allowed to wear flip flops but they don't enforce that rule and we can wear things that are sleeveless as long as it's appropriate
