I would like to know how to get points on this site?

answering questions gives u 2 points and if ur answer is chosen the best then u get 10 points.

Well, technically you answer questions and earn 2 points each. If your answer gets chosen as the best of the lot, then you get 10 points. If you ask a question, you lose 5 points but earn 3 back if you choose a best answer.
However, I find it's faster to just sleep with one of the Yahoo executives. Much quicker.

You earn 2 points by answering any questions and you earn 10 points for having your answer be the best one picked by the person asking the question.

Why you don't win anything? Yahoo keeps saying they will give us prizes for the most points earned. This Yahoo Answers thing has been up and running since December 7, 2005 >> where's the prizes.
I'm just here to learn the views of others since I don't get out much.

answering questions to the best of your knowledge. You can also get 10 extra points if someone chooses your answer as "the best." You can also get points by voting someone else's answer as "the best." If you ask a question, you get points taken off.

Answer questions in detail, in order to win 10 pts.
You can resolve questions and choose the best answer for 1 pt.
Oh. You also get 3 pts. for choosing the best answer to your question.

answer questions, answer then best, rate, vote; but you don't really need that many points. You'll need sleep worse after you get it all figured out and realize some stuff.

give a lot of good answers and dont ask too much. When you do ask choose a best answer.
