If u burn it first time as data disk and may not select the multi time writing option then it might happen. At the time of cd writing if u select the single time writing option then u can not write any more whether some more space is available or not. If ur cd were written as audio cd then its always single time writable, u can not add files later.

I'm not sure if I can gelp, but I sure will try to Help.
The problem you might be having is once you burn a cd and close it out, you are not able to add anymore songs onto it. Even if you had a cd/rw cd, it wouldn't matter. You can write audio onto a cd/rw and modify later, but I'm not sure how you do it w/o closing out the cd. Hope that clears it up a little bit for you. I've wasted alot of cds learning how to burn, but now I graduated to an Ipod ( A LOT EASIER!!)

Hi first see what is ur cd is CD-R or CD-RW, if ur cd is CD-R then one time u can format it and u can write multiple times if u select the option as Multiply sessions (means u can data to CD-R when ever u want till u reach the limit of CD), if it is CD-RW u can reformat the CD and use as many times u can.

Once you've burned to a CD-R, you can't edit it or change anything, you can change things on a CD-RW.
It should say which it is on the disc.
