Well ,you could try stopping some unwanted startup programs and restarting your computer. I've had the same problem before. Your computer is probably a bit "Tired" right now. Turning it off or restarting it for a while will help refresh your computer.

Your computer has 32 bit processor now a days 64 bit. Therefore u can address 2 ^ 32 addresses . But your RAM is generally only 128 MB so the concept of Virtual Memory where by you address the 2^32 memory addresss thereby increasing the memory usage . Remember tat memory more than 128 MB is virtual . Also this concept increases the no of programs which can be simultaneously run on ur computer like the acrobat reader, word pad etc... .Try killing some programs for this to not appear or else upgrade your processor/ RAM

You will have to judge on the integrity of this message. If it shows up after you connect to the internet, chances are it is a virus and you should download a free antivirus program to scan your system. AVG (www.grisoft.com) is a good bet.

However, if it occurs while you play offline games or work, chances are your RAM is not enough and you depend on Virtual memory to run your programs. If your virtual memory is low, you may need to increase it manually from Control Panels --> System --> Performance --> Virtual Memory. Set the amount higher (though since virtual memory takes up available hard drive space, make sure you do not set it to be more than 1/2 of your free hard drive space.)

Leon is correct up to the amount you should increase.

Virtual memory is an amount of hard drive space allocated for off-loading RAM stuff. Find out what your setting is now and increase it by some amount, but half the hard drive will kill you I think. Obviously, the more things you have running, the more RAM you are taking up.

You could have a virus or spyware program that's giving you the error message. I know there is one specific one but can't recall the name offhand. Try running your antivirus/antispyware software and see if that fixes the problem.
