developed bumpy, red, irritation on my testicles?

Question

developed it when I got home from camping in 40 degree heat for
five days. It itches alot and when I scratch it it burns all over the surface of my testicle.

Sounds like either chaffing or jock itch. Heck it could be anything. Not a place you want to mess around with. See your doc.

It's most likely a heat rash. Ever hear of babies getting diaper rash? Well, heat rash is just about in the same category. You get it from sweating and being hot down there. This could also be jock itch...there are over the counter meds for this (blue star ointment works the best)

When I went through Ft. Jackson, we called that Mongolian Monkey-Nutts. It's mostly caused by you not wearing the right clothing for what you were doing. It's best if you let the fellas air out down there. All the moisture that accumulates between your legs becomes prime mating grounds for bacteria which causes irritation. I found it's best to wear something like Under Armour or just go commando.

Could be that you have a Staff Infection. This can be caused by heat or to tight fitting underware. It might be that you will have to go on an antibiotic to kill the infection. Use a good anti-fungal powder on the infected area until you can go to a doctor.

It could be a tick or flea bite. Or could only be due to lack of hygiene during camping. Try washing it with antimicrobial soap and keep it dry. You can apply bacitracin ointment or zinc oxide or A&D ointment.
