I know very little about the bible but why can't you just accept that your soul is separate from your body and get on with life instead of trying to prove it? Otherwise visit a morgue and see the souless bodies, that should give you proof.

im not sure if this is realy what you are after, but the position you are talking about is called dualism, and was famously esspoused by , René Descartes, esspecialy of interest, in your case, would be the Meditations, where he attempts to prove that there are two, entirely seperate worlds, the physical and the spiritual.

its worth noteing that alot of his philosophy has receved the philosophy equivalent of being taken out the back and shot in recent years when neo darwinists such as Daniel Dennet have gone over his arguments, and in dennets words shown them to be "intuition pumps".

not sure if thats realy what you want though, i think, that you are actualy looking for biblical quotations that support the idea of the soul as independant from the body.
in which case try http://www.biblegateway.com/

Does this help?
1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:35 But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? And with what sort of body do they come?" 36 Fool, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that will be, but a bare grain--perhaps wheat or some other grains. 38 But God gives to it a body just as He desired, and to each of the seeds its own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is a different kind of flesh for men, and another flesh for beasts, another for fish, and another for birds. 40 And there are celestial bodies, and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

you have to undertand that the soul and the body are not connected in the way you think. the soul is incoporeal and can by definiton not be attached or in to anything. How does it then exist? I would say only 1 in 10000000000000000000 can know such an ans.

You cannot prove this. Why do so many Christians try to abandon the notion of 'faith.' We are all guilty of it at some time or another, and it is often due to someone else challenging our belief. However, no one, no scientist, philosipher, teacher, parent, or friend can disprove something that is believed in through faith. Accept it and embrace it.

You grow up and get older continually, your physical body is not the same as yours in your childhood. But you always know yourself one person and say: "I" do that ...
When you say, I do that, This "I" is your soul not your body coz your body changes every day.

Son, the only definitive proof requires death, and those who have made that commitment to truth are pretty tight lipped to the rest of us. So, when you go, you'll know.
