Vodka would work as an astringent because of the alcohol content, but don't waste the vodka. You can get the same result by using cheap rubbing alcohol.

Witch hazel does too! Try that its cheaper than vodka its like 2 bucks for a huge bottle. And its has LESS alcohol (alcohol is very drying to the skin*

I don't see what vodka would do that rubbing alcohol does not. Both will dry out your skin. Try using something with salicylic acid.

Alcohol will absorb all the moisture from your face, but far too well, and probably give you wrinkles. I've heard of people using the outside of an orange peel. Not sure, never tried it myself.

Vodka has natural sugars in it, so I can't imagine it's good for your face.

Other natural stuff that *is* good for your face:

tomato slice (exfoliates dead skin)
avocado (moisturizes)
cucumber (firms... especially around the eyes)
beaten egg or eggwhites (firm)
