Maine. Most people in the US think it's part of CANADA anyway, so it would probably be a couple of weeks before anybody noticed that it wasn't there... plenty of time to make a sneaky get-away.
I was thinking we should just sell Maine to CANADA, then take Puerto Rico as the new 50th state... PR fits in better with our new Latino image - and if it were a state, more people would go there on vacation.
After all, whens the last time you heard anything at all about Maine? Hell, for all we know, they might already be taken over!

Depends on what the strength of the attacking force is. If you have an army who's strength is amphibious assaults then it would be hawaii or some other small coastal state. A strong ground force would have to invade from Canada or Mexico.

New Jersey.....we are closing down our state government...come on over its time for change again haha
If its going to be an amphibious assault how about you choose a state that doesnt have a naval base on it....

there are probably as many Mexicans there as anybody (they would join you) and it's the state we least need.

New Mexico, it is the poorest state and the people down there are pretty liberal and believe anything.
