I'm not sure what to tell you. yet. an OAV is coming in Vol. 13 and there is an issue that an Gundam Seed 3 is going to be aired in Japan this January 2006.

And the characters are Shinn, Kira, And Athrun..

right now it is known as a rumor.

It is a HOAX!!!! The one mentioned by the first poster is entirely made up by fans.

I'm living in Japan and I'm currently monitoring the status of the SEED series. As of now, only a upcoming movie is officially confirmed. I am one of the people who saw the teaser trailer at the Sony Music Anime Fes this year. And a new OAV entitled Stargazer.

If you don't believe me, its fine...

Last note, why the hell would Kira change his name? He is way too popular and he has the protection, ehem, love of the new chairman of PLANT--Lacus Clyne. (hehe... spoiled the ending of the Final Plus episode ^_~)
