Maybe because of how interesting it is....
One more oxygen molecule, it's poisonous to us.
One less oxygen molecule, it's a very flammable gas.
It expands when it freezes. It's solid state is less dense than it's liquid state. It's a miracle how people don't know what Dihydrogen Monoxide is.

No, it is not a miracle, it is the combining of atoms. Drinking water often contains other dissolved minerals, eg sodium, potassium, etc, depending on where it comes from.

Ask your local water company if you can have a guided tour of their treatment facility. Paducah Water in Paducah, Kentucky has a state of the art treatment facility...bringing water from the Ohio River, treating it and making it potable. As a former employee, I had the honor of touring the new facility.

water ,dihydogen monooxide, has most of its special properties due to extensive hydrogen bonding, i e s y its
* a liquid @ room temperature.
* high denser than ice.
* has high boiling & low melting points.
* strong cohessive forces. ......................so on.
it would b actually a miracle, if it had
*a linear shape , rather than being angular!!!
*2 O atoms instead having 1!
*3 H atoms instead having 2...........!!!.
