Definitely just for fun. I do it when I've got time to kill before a class starts or I'm just lounging around the house and there's nothing good on TV. (I don't have cable so at any given time during the day, there ISN'T anything good on.)
I don't really know why anyone would take this seriously because it's not like you make money or win prizes. I'm sure a few people do though, just go look at the leaderboard and you can tell that quite a few people spend wayyyyy too much time on here.
I do, however, always answer my questions truthfully and take people's questions seriously when I can tell that they are genuinely looking for a good answer.

Both. I enjoy answering some of the questions people ask just for fun or something to pass the time. But, sometimes, someone may ask a question about an issue that I you feel deeply about. In that case, it might become a bit more serious....either way, this is a great place for people to come and share their knowledge of various subjects and also to learn from others who know more than they do.... ;)

This is just fun. If I want to get serious I hire another man that is twice my weight to beat me into submission, slap me across the face with a largemout bass repeatedly, put a bonnet on me, smack my bottom with a branch from a pine tree and call me a little wussy Sally girl.
